Evan Marriott vanished off the face off the earth after starring on FOX's guilty pleasure reality series "Joe Millionaire" almost 10 years ago ... so what happened to him?!
For those who didn't watch, Marriott became famous after the wildly popular show in 2003.
On the "Bachelor"-like competition, the construction worker tricked women into believing he was a millionaire -- only to reveal he wasn't rich at all at the very end. If the "winner" decided to stick with him anyway, they would be surprised with a million dollar check.
Though Zora Andrich stood by Evan, the two split the money and then split from each other shortly after the show wrapped.
In a new interview from FOX's 25th Anniversary Special, a very different looking Marriott materialized for the first time in years.
Holding a cane and sporting some serious facial hair, Marriott explained how he went back to work as a construction worker a few years after the show -- and shattered his leg about a year ago on the job.
"'Joe Millionaire' changed my life basically because on a Monday night I went to bed and on Wednesday morning I wasn't Evan Marriott anymore, I was 'Joe Millionaire,'" he says in the clip.
"When you're inside that box, you're transformed into someone other than yourself," he adds.
While the show didn't paint him in the best light, Marriot says he wouldn't take it back -- saying "I'm just very fortunate to have that experience."
