Ethan Hawke's new movie looks seriously "Sinister."
Following some killer buzz from SXSW Film Festival earlier this year, the first extremely creepy trailer for the movie has finally hit the Internet.
You may want to watch with the lights on.
The film definitely has shades of "The Amityville Horror," "The Ring" and "Paranormal Activity" -- not surprising, since it comes from the "Paranormal" producers and the writer-director of "The Exorcism of Emily Rose."
Here's the official synopsis:
Ethan Hawke plays a true crime novelist who discovers a box of mysterious, disturbing home movies that plunge his family into a nightmarish experience of supernatural horror.
Arriving in theaters October 5, the movie drops just in time for Halloween.
