Katy Perry has been going through a much-publicized divorce from husband Russell Brand, and she isn't shying away from the touchy topic.
The popstar sat down with "EXTRA's" Mario Lopez while promoting her documentary film, "Katy Perry: Part of Me," in theaters July 5.
The flick follows Katy's life on tour, and includes some very difficult and private moments the singer endured while dealing with her personal crisis.
When asked why she decided to keep her marriage troubles in the movie, Katy replied, "It's somewhat the elephant in the room, and if I wouldn't have put it into the film people would have left and been like, 'Well she's trying to avoid that as if it never really happened,' and that's not the case at all."
Watch above to see what Katy says she learned from her split, whether she can see herself ever marrying again, and why she only saw "Pretty Woman" for the first time a month ago.
