While it's great to see new shows like "Girls" and "New Girl" get some Emmy love their first year out the gate, it means some old favorites get left off the list.
This year, there were some very noticeable snubs after Jimmy Kimmel and Kerry Washington read the nominees earlier today -- including fan favorites like "Sons of Anarchy," "The Walking Dead" and even "American Idol."
And with quite a few high-profile series ending in 2012, many of them missed out on a chance for one final nomination ... like Hugh Laurie and "House."
