For those of you dying for a better look at that first credits scene of Thanos from the massive superhero flick, the wait is over -- Marvel officially released it today ahead of the flick's Blu-ray/DVD release.
In a clip, The Other (the leader of the Chitauri) is seen talking to a mysterious figure ... explaining how they were defeated by the Avengers.
"Humans, thee are not the cowering wretches we were promised. They stand, they are unruly and therefore cannot be ruled. To challenge them is to court death," he says before the looming purple figure known as Thanos turns around and gives a sly smile.

Marvel also released a ton of clips from the movie's epic final battle -- including a sweeping shot where the entire team works together, ending with Hulk punching Thor in the face.
