Ethan Embry starred in one of the best movies of the '90s, "Can't Hardly Wait" -- but he doesn't exactly have the fondest memories of the flick.
15 years to the day after it was released, the actor opens up about his experience filming the the teen comedy with VH1.
"At the time, when we were shooting that, I was the world's biggest stoner," Embry (now 34) says of the shoot. "Nothing sticks out because I was so stoned the entire time!"
And his dazed and confused demeanor didn't go unnoticed -- especially with costar Jennifer Love Hewitt, who gave him a fitting present before their kiss at the end of the movie.
"I remember going into my trailer and there was this basket of breath mints [from Jennifer], like real pretty," he says. "I probably smelled like a walking ashtray ... it was all very sweet. And that always makes me laugh thinking of that. Aww, Jennifer wanted me to smell good."
Looking back now, he says "Can't Hardy Wait" and "Empire Records" were "pretty damn silly" movies -- and admits he's never even seen the former all the way through!
"I never read the script. If [fans] are quoting it, then I don't know," he tells VH1.
And this may be the saddest part of the interview: Ethan has no idea what his character's letter to Amanda Beckett actually said.
"It was a prop," he says. "It doesn't matter."
