Caroline Manzo has finally confirmed that she is leaving the "Real Housewives of New Jersey" ... and it seems more bitter than sweet.
Manzo has been on the show for five seasons, but feels like her time with the rest of the NJ ladies has come to an end.
Caroline took to her Bravo blog after part two of last night's reunion special aired.
"I've always prided myself on giving you the truth of who I really am, the good, the bad, and the ugly. Over the past few years my outlook on the show has changed from something I couldn't wait to show my future grandchildren to something I hope my future grandchildren never see," she writes. Burn!
The fiery redhead, 52, was considered the matriarch of the show -- Caroline would regularly counsel her her castmates as well her children: Albie, Christopher and Lauren. She also had numerous altercations with costar Teresa Giudice.
The reality star has also stressed on the show how important it is to represent your family's name -- specifically, not to "dirty it up."
"Going back to film another season of Housewives would only make me a hypocrite. For me, peace and integrity cannot be bought with money or fame," she continues. "I practice what I preach, and as I said on the reunion, I'm done. I simply feel that my role has run its course and I have nothing more to give."
While we're definitely sad to see Manzo leave the New Jersey "Housewives," we'll still be able to catch up with Caroline and her family on their upcoming Bravo series, "Manzo'd with Children."
