Zac Efron made everyone really suspicious when he broke his jaw and blamed it on slipping on a puddle last month.
The actor had to get a gash on his face stitched up and had his jaw wired shut after the injury.
Yeah, the "puddle" explanation didn't sit right with many ... and now, his "That Awkward Moment" costars Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan are revealing what "actually happened."

We have to admit, it's pretty genius for Efron to be using his mysterious injury to generate publicity for his latest flick, which hits theaters January 31.
And while his costars may be jealous, we're just glad Zac's beautiful face is A-OK after getting totally jacked up.
