Irish golfer Rory McIlroy proposed to tennis pro Caroline Wozniacki in Sydney on New Year's Eve after the clock struck midnight.
The couple shared the news shortly after on Twitter.
"Happy New Year everyone! Rory and I started 2014 with a bang! ... I said YES!!!," Caroline posted -- along with a pic of the massive ring and fireworks over the harbor.
The two started dating back in 2011 and have been seen cheering each other on at their respective sporting events ever since.
Congrats to the happy couple. What a way to start 2014!
