Can you do "The Goonies" without Sloth?
That's the big question a lot of fans had after director Richard Donner announced he was working on a sequel to the beloved '80s movie.
On one hand, the heroic-but-deformed Fratelli brother isn't exactly the most PC character 30 years later. Plus, the actor who memorably played him, football star John Matuszak, passed away shortly after the original film was released.
But, the character is without a doubt one of the most memorable aspects of the 1989 flick, with his "Hey you guys!" quote becoming one of the most famous lines in pop culture history.
So ... what do you do?
toofab's Brian Particelli caught up with Mikey himself, Sean Astin, at the ATX Television Festival premiere of his new series, "The Strain," last night -- which just happened to be the 29th anniversary of "The Goonies" release.
