Colbie Caillat is baring it all!
In her new music video for "Try," the singer slowly strips away her makeup to reveal her "real" beauty.
The clip also shows images of everyday women with and without makeup to prove that one can be just as beautiful with a bare face. One woman even takes off her wig to proudly display her bald skull, while sporting a giant smile!
"You don't have to try so hard/ You don't have to, give it all away/ You just have to get up, get up, get up, get up/ You don't have to change a single thing," she sings in the chorus. "Don't you like you? 'Cause I like you."
The Grammy winner co-wrote the emotional ballad with Babyface more than a year ago, during a period when she was feeling exhausted from the pressures of being a woman in the entertainment industry.
"The song was from experience. I do try very hard," she recently told Glamour. "I think all girls—especially in this business—have to be polished, and if you don't then you're the one who looks bad. It's a lot of pressure."
"I don't want to sound like I'm preaching to people, because I'm not doing that, but it's reminders for us all [that you don't have to try]," she added.
We love the song's message!
