Reality TV changed forever back in 1992, when MTV premiered the first season of "The Real World."
Before it became a debaucherous series filled with alcohol-induced hot tub make out sessions and over-the-top brawls, the show was a social experiment that tackled everything from race to sexuality in a way that hadn't really been done before for young audiences.
With Season 30 making its debut on the network last night (yes, 30!), three stars from the show's first season returned to their now-infamous loft 22 years later.
Heather B., Norman Korpi and Julie Gentry reunited for this Sunday's "Oprah: Where Are They Now?," airing Sunday, December 21 at 9pm ET/PT on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network.
"We shot this show for 13 weeks. We lived here, we hung out, we talked, we cried, we partied, we fought," Heather says in the preview clip. "Eric [Nies] told us even before MTV agreed to do this show, 'We're going to be huge. People are going to be talking about us 10 years from now.'"
Looks like he was right!
"I always say that there are two different experiences," Julie chimes in. "Filming the show was one experience. And then airing it was a whole other ball game."
Korpi says that once the series started airing, he was getting recognized everywhere -- with Heather and Julie revealing a very memorable interaction with Magic Johnson. Check out the clip above!
We at toofab have tried to track down as many "Real World" alumni as possible in the gallery below, showing how much they've all changed since their time on reality TV and giving updates on what they're all up to now.
