Lady Gaga made quite an impression when she checked into "American Horror Story: Hotel."
In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, show creator Ryan Murphy describes what the Mother Monster was wearing when she came to set.
"She showed up, and she was wearing diamond pasties, a Band-Aid on her boo-ha, heels and a black veil that Alexander McQueen made for her on the day before his death," he tells the mag. "Then the crew gasped in delight, and we were off!"
In fact, the singer's casting came about in a rather unconventional way after she wrote Murphy herself, asking if he'd ever consider using her in the show. He said "YES" and the rest is history.
"I was at a construction site and my phone rang. I didn't recognize the number. [I answer and] I hear 'Please hold for Gaga.' I think 'Bad Romance' was playing [while I was on hold]," he explains. "Then she got on the phone. At first I thought it was a prank, but we then had a lovely call."
Gaga adds, "I called him and I said, 'Ryan, I wanna be on Horror Story.' And he goes, 'Okay.' And that was it."
Lady G certainly knows how to get what she wants!
The pop star is proving to be a force to be reckoned with on the set. She's won early acclaim from Kathy Bates. "We've shot one scene together. She walked past me and literally had one line, and it just scared the s— out of me," she admits. "She's really throwing herself in this."
"American Horror Story: Hotel" debuts on October 7 -- are you ready?!
