Yes, that's really Blake Shelton.
Long before he was one of the hottest stars of country music, the "Sangria" singer was just another awkward teenager in Ada, Oklahoma, rocking one ridiculous mullet while setting the seeds for his future career.
We just got our hands on some never-before-seen photos from his high school days and they're hilariously awesome. While Blake's smile looks the same then as it does now, we can't forgive that hair -- what was he thinking?!?
In another portrait, he's seen sporting a 10-gallon cowboy hat while mugging for the camera.
Gwen Stefani's latest love interest opened up about his small town upbringing in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel last year.
"There wasn't a lot to do so you either played football in Ada, Oklahoma, or had dreams of sitting in the red chair I guess," he joked, referring to his judging panel on "The Voice." "I was playing the guitar by the time I was 15. Garth [Brooks] was from that area and Reba McEntire was from just a few miles where I was from, so there was hope that you could make it in country music."
"In the entire high school, there was 400 kids from freshman to senior," he continued. "It wasn't totally inbred."
After graduation, Shelton moved to Nashville and began songwriting. He got a recording contract soon after, and the rest is history.
