Mel Gibson's appearance at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night came with its fair share of controversy.
Ricky Gervais couldn't resist taking a few digs at the actor before he hit the stage for his now-infamous drunken, anti-Semitic rant back in 2006.
Admitting he had to say something nice about the guy before he walked out, Ricky joked, "I'd rather have a drink with him in his hotel room tonight, instead of Bill Cosby."
When Mel walked out, the two exchanged a hug, while Ricky grabbed his drink and ran off stage with it.
"I love seeing Ricky every three years, because it reminds me to get a colonoscopy," Mel joked in return.
Ricky then ran back on stage, going up to the podium and saying, "Can I ask you a question, what the f--k does sugartits even mean?"
Though the phrase is what Mel allegedly called a female police officer during his arrest, he shot back, "Ask the guy who said it. It wasn't me."
