It's been nine years since we first fell in love with Will Ferrell's drunk mini-landlord, Pearl.
In case you missed it, the 20-month-old daughter of "Step Brothers" director Adam McKay terrorized the actor for not paying his rent. In the "Funny or Die" clip that quickly went viral, Will was left in tears after Pearl cursed at him and threatened him to pay up ... all while wearing a blue princess dress.
At the end, Ferrell decided that she clearly had been drinking after she took his beer. Check out the hilarious clip below to see her in action!
So, how did Pearl's big debut come about? According to her dad, she was going through a phase where she would repeat whatever was said to her.
“My wife and I would have her quote Sartre,” McKay told Studio 360. “My wife speaks French, so we would have her say things in French. I would have her say Public Enemy lyrics.”
While the Internet loved Pearl's prank, Adam's wife wasn't so thrilled.
“My wife was so mad at me. She told me beforehand, 'Don't you dare turn our daughter into a child star.' And I said, 'Honey, it's going to get like a million hits, no one cares.'” McKay recalled.
Boy, was he wrong!
While foul-mouthed toddler quickly became an online sensation, her father turned down all other media offers that came after.
"It actually worked out perfectly. She never really did anything else," he declared before joking: "She does own a Corvette and date an Armenian guy who's twice her age."
Pearl has stayed out of the spotlight, but she hit the red carpet with her family in November to celebrate the release of her dad's latest flick, "The Big Short."
Can you believe how big she is now?!
