The bitch is back.
Elton John addresses some of his biggest feuds in a new profile with Rolling Stone, where he may have also started a new one while talking about Janet Jackson's latest tour.
While talking about how he plays and sings all his music live during shows, Elton couldn't resist throwing some serious shade at the "Nasty" singer.
"You know, f--king music magazines writing a review of Janet Jackson saying, 'This is the greatest show – four and a half stars.' It's fucking lip-synced! Hello! That's not a show," he exclaims. "I'd rather go and see a drag queen. F--k off."
And while he doesn't go into further detail, those are some pretty harsh words coming from one of the most legendary voices in the game!
Of course, Janet isn't the first to feel his wrath over miming her shows. He famously called Madonna out in 2004, after she was nominated for best live act at the Q Music Awards. "Anyone who lip-synchs in public on stage when you pay 75 pounds to see them should be shot. Thank you very much," he said while accepting his own award during the show. The comment set off a decade-long battle between the two, with John later calling her a "fairground stripper."
"I say what I feel," Elton now tells Rolling Stone. "I probably went too far with Madonna, and I got very personal and I wrote her – she was very gracious."
Elton also had a very public feud with former tour mate Billy Joel, over his drinking.
"We've had so many canceled tours because of illnesses and various other things, alcoholism … He's going to hate me for this, but every time he's gone to rehab, they've been rehab light," he told Rolling Stone back in 2011. "When I went to rehab, I had to clean the floors. He goes to rehab where they have TV."
Looking back at those comments though, he has no regrets.
"He's one of the great American songwriters. But I know when people used to say to me, 'You're wasting your life,' I'd go, 'F--k off!' and I wouldn't speak to them for two years," he says now. "Billy was pissed, and I understand. But does it mean I don't love him? No, of course not."
