Noah Cyrus' intense new music video for "Make Me (Cry)" just dropped, and it's pretty wild!
The video, featuring Cyrus and Labrinth, is eerie and ethereal ... until it gets fierce and frightening when the duo begin trashing their respective apartments, shared with significant others! The song includes lyrics like, "I never needed you like I do right now/ I never hated you like I do right now/ 'Cause all you ever do is make me ..."
The video was directed by Sophie Muller, who helmed other super creative projects with artists like Coldplay, Beyoncé, Blur, Leona Lewis, Selena Gomez, and Shakira, among others.
About the video, Muller told Dazed, "As soon as I heard the song I wanted to [direct] it. I loved [Noah's] voice on it and thought it was so arresting and brave-sounding."
Noah herself added, "[Labrinth] is like a big brother to me, so having him on set for my first video was amazing. Also, getting to work with someone as talented as Sophie was such an honor," she gushed. "I had the best time making this video!"
For his part, Labrinth said, "I feel like I got to make a great moment with two creatively exalted people. Fun times!"
Fun times indeed!
