Jake Gyllenhaal and Conan O'Brien had a lively conversation about male plastic surgery.
"I know I've been on TV a long time, and I haven't messed with anything yet, but I'm gonna really go for it in five years, " Conan said on Wednesday night's show.
"It's gonna be a freak show," the funnyman joked. "I'm just gonna go for it for the pure entertainment value, and just hack away at this old melon and see what happens."
But Conan warned Gyllenhaal to never go under the knife. "You're not gonna do any of that stuff; you're classically handsome ... it's a terrible mistake when people mess with themselves like that."
The 35-year-old "Donnie Darko" star said: "I think it's your own prerogative ... it's an ageist industry. But at the same time, you cultivate your craft, you cultivate your time, you cultivate your work and hopefully that's what pays off in the end."
However, Gyllenhaal joked that his feelings on plastic could change down the road.
"I also think, whatever makes you feel free, whatever makes you feel joy; that's what I'm into," he said. "Particularly nowadays, that's what it should be about. Feeling joy."
Other male celebs who've admitted to going under the knife include: Burt Reynolds (eye procedures), Howard Stern (nose job and liposuction on his chin) and "American Idol's" Simon Cowell admitted to using Botox in the past.
