'Jersey Shore' Returning In 2018 on MTV with Original Cast Members

Just when you thought their days of fist-pumping were over, the "Jersey Shore" crew is returning to MTV for another season, dubbed "Jersey Shore Family Vacation," in 2018.

The network confirmed the news on Monday during the premiere of "Floribama Shore," the second series of what they hope will be an ongoing franchise. Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Jenni "Jwoww" Farley, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, Paul "Pauly D" DelVecchio, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Vinny Guadagnino and Deena Cortese are all expected to return.Samantha "Sammi Sweetheart" Giancola was not named in the press release.

While exciting to fans of the original series, it won't be the first time the gang has reunited since the show ended with Season 6 in 2012. Everyone with the exception of Ronnie worked together on a Burger King commercial that dropped back in July. Ortiz-Magro was also MIA for a one-off reunion special E! did in August, a special both Vinny and Deena missed out on as well. The entire cast -- once again, sans Ronnie -- also attended Cortese's wedding in October.

Farley recently spoke with TooFab about the idea of a full reunion, where she revealed she and the cast had been begging show creator SallyAnn Salsano for another go at it.

"Me and SallyAnn have been in like group chat with the whole cast like, 'Let's do this. Let's kick down MTV's doors' 'cause everyone's down," she said. "Everyone is in the group chat and we talk constantly, everyday, all day, all the cast mates and we talk constantly with the creator of the show and we're like, 'We need to do this. I just need to be in bed my 9 p.m.'"

"This would be my dream reboot if we had one," Farley added. "We go somewhere for two weeks all out so let's picture like Turks and Caicos. Two weeks, Jersey Shore takes over, ruins the village and then we're out."

She also said she'd love to do the series again to let Sorrentino redeem himself.

"Mike is one of my nearest and dearest right now," she added. "He is so sweet that I've been saying I want the reboot to happen just for him. Just for him. Just for Mike to have a second chance because we left with such a bad taste in our mouth the last season, all of us, we never spoke for five years to Mike. I love him so much right now, I would love to do it just for him. Just to give him a second chance."
