"I'm really concerned because I don't think you're eating," Kendall Jenner tells Kim, who responds, "Oh my God, thank you!"
Kim Kardashian and her equally famous sisters are receiving major heat over comments that many believe glamorize eating disorders and unhealthy habits.
Over the weekend, Kim, Khloe Kardashian and Kendall Jenner were the featured guests at this year's first annual "If Only" Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament. The event was actually for charity, but it was what went down behind the scenes that enraged fans of the Kardashian-Jenner clan.
Kim filmed her sisters commenting on her slim figure, and even though she kept saying things like, "You guys, I'm not that skinny," she also thanked them profusely for the "compliments."
"No, like, I'm really concerned because I don't think you're eating. You look so skinny," Kendall said in one of the first videos Kim posted to her Instagram Story.
"What?! Oh my God, thank you!" Kim replied, egging her on.
"Of course," Kendall jokingly responded before lifting up a very small handbag and saying, "This purse is as tiny as you."
Kim Kardashian is facing backlash for her joyful reaction to being called ‘So Skinny’ and 'Anorexic’: “I'm 119 Lbs.” pic.twitter.com/xCAt1zXBhU— Pop Crave (@PopCrave) July 30, 2018
Kim then panned the camera over to Khloe, who said, "I've never seen a human being look as tiny as you. Like, you're a walking FaceTune doll. I've never seen a skinnier person in my life. Well, Kendall, but that's natural. You -- it takes work to look like that, and that's amazing."
Khloe later joked that Kim's diet consists of "celery and maybe some lettuce." Khloe's friend, Malika Haqq, added that Kim sometimes snacks on "different flavors of oxygen."
"You guys, I'm not that skinny! I'm down to 119 pounds," Kim replied. "But I will say, when I take out my hair extensions, I am less."
"Kimberly, I can see through you!" Khloe fired back. "Your extensions, your ass, your tits, everything! They're heavy because they're f--king voluptuous, but she's anorexic here [points to Kim's waist], and her arms are pin thin, like my pinky."
Fans were fuming with the "thoughtless" comments. One critic in particular even said the sisters' conversation was capable of "damaging an entire generation of young people."
"Khloe calling Kim anorexic in her waist is a prime example of this -- absolutely disgusting," the critic added.
Another dissenter tweeted, "Kim and Khloe talking about how skinny they are is literally making me sick."

To anyone who watched Kim Kardashian’s insta story where everyone went around a circle and praised her for “looking like she’s not eating” and being “soooooo skinny” - this is your reminder that you don’t have to be thin to be gorgeous. You is fine mama, every piece of you 💘— Rebecca Lee Oliver (@rebeccaleeolivr) July 30, 2018
Kim Kardashian’s story about being skinny is so wrong ? Looks like you haven’t been eating ?? That’s not something to promote on your social media , You shouldn’t be influencing people not too eat so that they can “look good”????— Melissa Teixeira (@Mxlissat) July 29, 2018
I’m sorry but Kim Kardashian filming her sisters saying “I don’t think you’re eating you’re so skinny” and saying “omg thank you!” Is everything wrong with that fucking woman she is cancelled CANCELLED— Lydia Rose Stephens (@lydiaelliotrose) July 30, 2018

Kim Kardashian being obsessed with her sisters telling her she’s so skinny she looks anorexic on her Instagram story makes me want to throw my phone into outer space— Best Coast (@BestCoast) July 29, 2018
Saw a video where Kendall Jenner tells Kim Kardashian that she looks like she never eats and that she’s concerned about how skinny she is. Kim K says “thank you” in the most delighted voice.— Wendy R (@WendyRMonkey) July 30, 2018
Like, do they ever get tired of being so problematic?
Kendal: “No, like I’m concerned I don’t think you’re eating”— elspeth (@ElspethOakley) July 29, 2018
Kendal: “like you look so skinny!”
Kim: “oh my god thank you!!!!”@KimKardashian what kind of bullshit message does this send out to your mainly young and female audience, especially after the lolly ad.
Well, being skinny IS the only reason to have any self-esteem, right? I mean, what is the point to existence if you're not skinny? (I can't believe we live in a world where this is news)— Shannon Stribling (@sewinggirl28) July 30, 2018
did anyone else see Kim Kardashian’s depressing IG story about how she khloe and Kendall are all just comparing how respectively skinny each of them are 🙄🙄🙄— ruthless 🇵🇸 (@rthcnnghm) July 30, 2018
Kim Kardashian being obsessed w her sisters complimenting her skinny look saying it's like she doesn't eat is everything that's wrong with the world today. Narcissism at its finest. It's even more disappointing that many young girls look up to that narcissistic and toxic family.— Amra 👑 (@Amra_88) July 30, 2018

Kim Kardashian uploading an IG Story where Kendall says ‘I’m worried about you, are you eating enough? You look so skinny’ and Kim takes this as a compliment is so many levels of fucked up. Someone please stop this terrible family.
I wonder if kim kardashian knows she looks skinny.... 🤔— Ailsa (@ailsastron) July 30, 2018
Kim Kardashian's Instagram story asking her sisters to "tell her more" about how skinny she looks and calling her "anorexic", while she laughs and thanks them for the compliments.........I can't.— Ashley Anne (@ashleyatemple) July 30, 2018
Kim Kardashian saying she’s not that skinny and that she’s 119 pounds in the same video is a real fucking bummer— Jos✨ (@josievvood) July 30, 2018

“ i’m so skinny, like have you ever seen a person so skinny”. “ OMG like the compliments!! Everyone is saying I’m so skinny.” Wonderful role model @KimKardashian
kim kardashian is so reckless with what she posts on social media her IG story saying how she’s down to 119lbs but wants to be less and ‘isn’t that skinny’ is so dangerous it makes me so angry— ells (@ells_holland) July 30, 2018

Telling someone they look— Lori Payne (@LoriPay11699922) July 30, 2018
skinny feeds that mind-set. Both #khloekardashian (“When I lose more weight I’ll cut my hair...”) & #kimkardashian attention to dieting (remember diet pops?) is not good. Be responsible. QUIT GLAMORIZING THIS. #NEDA
Accidentally stumbled upon @KimKardashian’s IG story of her begging her sisters to tell her how skinny she looks and I actually might vomit🤢🤮 what has this world come to— Rayne Eiteneier (@krjeiteneier) July 30, 2018
Kim Kardashian being pyshed about her sisters telling her she looks "skinny" like she's "surviving on oxygen" IS extremely dangerous and disordered thinking.— Kirstwyn (@KirstKirst143) July 30, 2018
Khloe's jealousy, their pride over it, etc is just gross & unhealthy.
But it's not narcissistic so much as sick.
Listening to @KimKardashian , @KendallJenner and @khloekardashian use words like ‘anorexic’ and ‘skinny’ as a compliment makes me SO sad and disappointed. You have young children around you and millions of followers. Please don’t influence and encourage eating disorders!— Natalie Hollingworth (@NCHollingworth) July 30, 2018
