MTV severed ties with the reality star after her husband, David Eason, admitted to killing the family dog after it allegedly nipped at their daughter.
UPDATE 5/8/2019 9:10 a.am.: Briana De Jesus released a statement to Us Magazine saying, "I am sad for her. I wish there was some kind of compromise for all of this. She worked her ass off for so long to just be thrown to the wolves."
UPDATE 5/8/2019 7:38 a.m.: Management for Jenelle gave the following statement to People, "Jenelle is focusing on her family and moving forward. She is very grateful and appreciative of the opportunity MTV have given her and her family for the last 10 years. It is sad to part ways in this matter but this isn’t the end of Jenelle Evans or her family."

"I want to sympathize for my former cast-mate, but at this point I can't," wrote Leah Messer as part of a lengthy Twitter thread. "Enough is enough!"
Randy Houska said that her firing was "far past due," claiming that the network really "drug their ass in doing it." At the same time, he admitted, "I worry for the kids, and since we’ve been in this for 10 years together, I worry about Jenelle."
I certainly think it was far past due, and that they really drug their ass is doing it. But I worry for the kids, and since we’ve been in this for 10 years together, I worry about Jenelle— Randy Houska (@PapaRandlicious) May 7, 2019
The final straw for the network came after Jenelle's husband, David, admitted to shooting and killing the family dog Nugget after it allegedly "nipped" at their two-year-old daughter, Ensley. MTV had already cut ties with David.
"MTV ended its relationship with David Eason over a year ago in February 2018 and has not filmed any new episodes of 'Teen Mom 2' with him since," an MTV spokesperson told Radar Online in a statement.
"Additionally, we have stopped filming with Jenelle Eason as of April 6, 2019 and have no plans to cover her story in the upcoming season."
Kail Lowry, who came under fire for speaking out against the killing, kept her response to links to other stories about Jenelle's firing and one Instagram emoji: 😱. Briana DeJesus echoed Kail's approach via Instagram, opting for a sad emoji instead.
Jenelle also shared a link to Us Magazine that cited sources close to Jenelle sharing her reaction to the news.
Her sharing of the story would seem to lend weight to the insider, who said, "Jenelle was shocked and is really upset. The decision was given to her suddenly after a lot of back and forth with MTV."
Kail, meanwhile, shared an even more aggressive story from Radar Online, with their own insider source that described Jenelle as "hysterically crying" and "freaking the f--k out."
Their informant further alleged that Jenelle is broke, having no income save for the show and no savings of any kind. They also suggested Jenelle will try to get on other reality shows now to supplement her income. Finally, the informant claims Jenelle intends to stay with David, despite earlier reports she was considering divorce after the killing.
What Kail thinks about the whole thing is decidedly murky, but much can be implied -- she may have opted for this more cryptic reaction after the backlash to her more direct condemnation of the killing of the dog.
In a post to her Instagram page after that story broke, Kail wrote, "I have refrained from commenting on the disturbing situation involving David Eason and Jenelle Evans while I wrapped my head around the murder of Nugget."
