"I can't really get into too much detail," Deidre says, "but I would love to do the show if they really wanted me to do the show."
Deidre Ball would be delighted to join "The Real Housewives of New York," but not more delighted than her husband, former White House communications director Anthony "The Mooch" Scaramucci.
The high-profile couple addressed reports that Deidre, 38, was in talks with Bravo about joining the cast for Season 12 during the latest episode of their Radio.com podcast, "Mooch and the Mrs.", where The Mooch, 55, had enough enthusiasm for the both of them.

You're at the top, you look great in the picture, and so go ahead, what's going on here, babe? Top of Page Six. You got there without me! There was no divorce perp walk."
"I mean, I've been on the front page and been destroyed. I've been in a divorce perp walk, been destroyed. I was in the [Donald] Trump administration, been destroyed," he continued before giving Deidre the floor.
"I didn't make it without you," she said, noting that she had been referred to as "Anthony Scaramucci's wife" in the story's headline. "Not yet, but I will blow you out of the water!"
"Well, you know, I can't really confirm--" Deidre began to explain before her husband cut her off. "Who's Kim Zolciak, by the way?" he asked.
"She [was] on 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta,'" Deidre replied. "I've shown you pictures of her because everyone always says -- especially when I go to the airport and I go through TSA -- they always tell me I look like Kim Zolciak, or whatever her last name is, Biermann."
"Shoutout to Kim Biermann, okay?" The Mooch interjected. "If you look like my wife, you must be hot stuff, Kim Biermann! But let's get to the main event here. Let me tease the main event out of you. What's going on here, babe?"

View Story"Like I said, I can't really get into too much detail," Deidre said, "but I would love to do the show if they really wanted me to do the show. But right now, you know, we're just sitting here waiting, and I'll let you guys know. Stay tuned!"
"Alright, okay, so you can't confirm or deny it," The Mooch said, as his wife called her situation "awkward."
"Anthony would love for me to do the show because he's of the--" Deidre began to say before her husband cut her off.
"I think it'd be -- yeah, I'd have a lot of fun," he said. "I just hope that my Trump affiliation -- I can be totally candid because I know a lot of people in Hollywood dislike the orange man -- so I just hope my Trump affiliation, the Cheeto stains on my hands, are not on your hands."
But Deidre said she's already begun to get backlash on social media over the possibility of her joining the show, noting that critics have been referring to her and her husband as "Trump rubbish."

"Maybe! I have to decide if I would or wouldn't. If they ask me. They have to ask me for me to say yes or no, right?" Deidre replied before teasing, "Or maybe they have asked me. Or maybe they haven't. Or maybe maybe maybe! I'm not even gonna tell you because you have the biggest mouth."
"Somebody told me that I'm not interesting [and that] the only reason they want me is that I'm married to you," she added as she looked over at her husband.
"Yeah," he replied with a blank stare. "Well, that's obviously--"
"There's probably 80 percent truth to that," Deidre interrupted.
"Well, that's not 100 percent," The Mooch replied with a chuckle. "You know that's not true."
All jokes aside, he feels his wife would be perfect for the show because she has "translucency" to her personality.
"You're totally comfortable not trying to hide shit, and I think that's really impressive," he said. "I mean, it's a perverse sign of like wacko major security, actually."
'RHONY' Cast Slams 'Selfish' Luann de Lesseps as She Triples Down on Sonja Morgan Drug Accusations
View StoryEarlier this week, a source told Page Six, "Scaramucci's wife is doing the 'Housewives.' They've been wanting new blood and have been striking out with new cast members. She's been meeting with Bravo." Another insider told the publication, "It's reality-TV gold. I'd love to have her on."
This source may have a point.
On July 21, 2017, Scaramucci was appointed White House communications director. Immediately after, at nine months pregnant with their first child, Deidre filed for divorce.
Days into his job, The Mooch made headlines for an expletive-laden interview with The New Yorker's Ryan Lizza, in which he made obscene and derogatory statements about several members of the Trump administration. The interview cost him his job, which he had for only 10 days. Deidre and Anthony subsequently made amends, and if that's not "reality-TV gold," we don't know what is.
According to Page Six, the possible addition may be part of a larger potential shake-up for the show. Sources told the publication that OG castmember Luann de Lesseps, Housewife since 2016 Tinsley Mortimer and newcomer Barbara Kavovit were all on the chopping block.
Bravo has not yet responded to TooFab's request for comment.
If true, "RHONY" would be The Mooch's second whack at reality TV. He appeared on the second American season of "Celebrity Big Brother" in January of this year.
"The Real Housewives of new York" airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
