Clauvino da Silva was caught wearing a skinny jeans, a pink Disney T-shirt, a black bra, a silicon mask and a long black wig as he tried to sneak out of Rio de Janeiro's GericinĂ³ prison.

His daughter Ana Gabriele Leandro da Silva however, who was left behind at the prison, could face charges of abetting prison escape, a crime that carries a sentence of up to two years. Seven other visitors, including a pregnant woman who is believed to have smuggled the disguise inside – are also being investigated.
Da Silva previously made a slightly more successful escape bid in 2013, when he was among 31 inmates who managed to tunnel out of the same prison via the sewers; he was eventually recaptured a month later.
