Josh Rivera stars as late Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez, who died by suicide while doing time for the murder of Odin Lloyd. Per FX, the series is based on the podcast, Gladiator: Aaron Hernandez and Football Inc., and "charts the rise and fall of NFL superstar Aaron Hernandez and explores the disparate strands of his identity, his family, his career, his suicide and their legacy in sports and American culture." The show premieres September 17 on FX.
