Chelsea Clinton fired back at Donald Trump's latest mean tweet attacking her mother, Hillary Clinton, who he said would have been praised for allowing Chelsea to sit in the president's seat with world leaders.
Trump's tweet came early Monday morning, in response to backlash he received over the weekend for allowing his daughter, Ivanka Trump, to take his seat at a G20 Summit meeting.
Trump tweeted, "If Chelsea Clinton were asked to hold the seat for her mother,as her mother gave our country away, the Fake News would say CHELSEA FOR PRES!"
Clinton's eldest daughter quickly replied, "Good morning Mr. President. It would never have occurred to my mother or my father to ask me. Were you giving our country away? Hoping not."

Before calling out the Clintons, Trump defended his decision to let Ivanka take his place in the meeting by calling it "very standard."
When I left Conference Room for short meetings with Japan and other countries, I asked Ivanka to hold seat. Very standard. Angela M agrees!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 10, 2017
On Saturday morning, a Russian official tweeted (and then deleted) a photograph of Ivanka sitting in between British Prime Minister Theresa May and Chinese President Xi Jinping. The move was heavily criticized, as a BBC correspondent noted that when a president isn't available to take his seat in meeting for whatever reason, it is usually filled by a high-ranking member of his office.
The image caused immediate backlash on social media, many calling out Ivanka for being immensely unfit for taking her father's place in the meeting.
Ivanka Trump has NO PLACE at G20! ABSURD. An INSULT to the world leaders who belong there. Did other leaders bring their kids???— chris collins (@ccollins43) July 8, 2017
