"Don't believe the hype and if there was hype, believe me you, I would let you know," she says of the tabloid stories about her marriage.
Wendy Williams found herself at the center of Hot Topics on her own talk show Tuesday morning, as she addressed online reports her husband is leading a "secret double life."
"It's weird doing Hot Topics and being a hot topic. In a weird kinda way, I love the attention. But it wasn't a plant," she said at the top of the show. "It's some sort of weird story going around the Internet regarding my husband. Now look, I'm a straight shooter, all you gotta do is Google him and see the story."
"You can believe what you want, but..." she continued, before holing up her hand to show off her wedding ring (above).
"I stand by my guy. We commuted this morning," she added. "The paparazzi was outside, catching me in my neglige."
"Anyway, all is well in Hunterville," Williams said. "Don't believe the hype and if there was hype, believe me you, I would let you know. By the way, I'll be following this story, so I guess I'll have to watch to find out what happens."
Her speech was in response to a DailyMail TV article that went out Monday, accusing Kevin Hunter of "carrying on an affair with a 32-year-old massage therapist he moved into a $765,000 house just nine miles away from NJ mansion he shares with his TV host wife."
A spokesperson for Williams previously denied the affair, telling the publication, "One plus one does not equal three. This woman is a friend of Mr. Hunter but there is no 'there' there."
