Chelsea Handler Praises 'Relentless' Stormy Daniels for 'De-Stigmatizing Porn Stars' as She Takes on Trump

The comedian -- who chose to step away from entertainment temporarily to focus on bettering her understanding of and role in politics -- is a big fan of the porn star for speaking openly about the affair she alleges she had with Donald Trump back in 2006 and the subsequent hush money she received just days before he was elected president.

"I'm into her big time. She's relentless," Handler told The Huffington Post. "She's de-stigmatizing porn stars in front of the entire world. She's not stupid. She's not an idiot. She's not a bimbo. She's focused and she's relentless and she's honest, and you know what? It's great. This is the year of the woman, and she is that. She's representative of the year of people starting to respect porn stars and people understanding what that means -- myself included. It's enlightening."

"Everyone is f-cking pissed off," Handler continued. "That's undeniable. People are angrier than they've ever been no matter what side of the aisle you fall on. You need to harness that anger into something constructive. That's what I'm doing, and that's my advice to anyone who is looking to get more involved: Don't ignore your anger. Harness your anger and outrage, and do something that makes a difference."

Handler likened Daniels' potential effect on our country's future to the potential effect of the Parkland teens on gun control.

"They're not going anywhere," Handler said of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting survivors. "They're like Stormy Daniels -- they're here to stay. They're going to be leading our country in five years, so we should be respecting everything that they're saying."
