Celine Dion is staying strong.
The "My Heart Will Go On" singer released a new statement on her website on Friday, to give thanks to her fans for all the love and support she's received since losing husband Rene Angelil earlier this month.
"My family and I are deeply touched by the outpouring of love and support from so many people who have touched our lives during these past few days," the statement read. “We have felt your love for René, and your prayers and compassion have helped us during this most difficult time ... more than you'll ever know."
"I thank you from the bottom of my heart," she continued. "I would also like to sincerely thank the Quebec Government for honoring René with National Funerals as well as the many individuals and organizations who came together to hold such a beautiful tribute in his name. We will never forget all of the kindness that you have bestowed upon us."
The 47-year-old songstress released the statement on behalf of her entire family. Dion shared two sons with Angelil, Rene-Charles, 14 and Nick and Eddy, 5, in addition to his children Patrick, Jean-Pierre and Anne-Marie from his previous relationship.
Dion's husband passed away on January 14th at the age of 73. His memorial was held at Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal, the same church the couple said “I do” in 1994.
Celine tragically lost her brother Daniel to cancer just days after her husband's death.
This is the first time the Grammy-winning singer has broken her silence since the terrible tragedies. She's also set to return to her Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace in February.
