Jennifer Love Hewitt has kept a pretty low profile in Hollywood since welcoming her second child with husband Brian Hallasay in 2015. This week, however, she popped up to help the cast of "Hollywood Darlings" promote the show's second season with a day of flashbacks that'll take you right back to the '90s.
The former "Party of Five" star recently started doing Facebook and Instagram live streams with good friend and TV host Maria Sansone called "Two Moms," this week welcoming "Full House" star Jodie Sweetin, "Step By Step" alum Christine Lakin and "7th Heaven's" Beverley Mitchell on to discuss their first crushes, early days in the industry and to play a round of trivia.
'Hollywood Darlings' Tackle Ted Cruz, Death Hoaxes and Celebrity Dating in Season 2 Trailer
View StoryMitchell compared being a '90s kid in Hollywood to being in "weird fraternity or sorority," where they'd all randomly run into each other at different parties, premieres or set visits. "I met Jodie on the set of 'Full House,' we had the same producers," said Lakin. "I was so excited, it was one of my favorite shows."
Lakin and Hewitt also met once at a random party at the Oakwood apartments back in the day, the two cringing over the a photo of themselves from the event.
After Hewitt remarked on how "lucky" they were that social media didn't exist yet, she shared how Sweetin's work on "Full House" helped her get her start in the industry.
"So my first audition in LA was for a show called 'Kids Incorporated' and I didn't know how to do anything in an audition, I had no idea what I was doing," she explained. "They said, 'Can you play your two favorite people?' So I turned to a room full of people and said, 'How rude!'"
"[I] got the job, so literally, I owe you or my whole career," Hewitt said to Sweetin. "Thank you. And then my callback I pretended to be Soleil Moon Frye from 'Punky Brewster.' So, thanks."
Sweetin Screen Tested for 'Dawson's Creek' and More 'Hollywood Darlings' Revelations
View StoryThe women went on to reveal their crushes from back in the day. Hewitt's was Ricky Shroeder and the guys of "Saved by the Bell," while Sweetin had a sweet tooth for Jared Leto. Lakin had a thang for Fred Savage and Neil Patrick Harris.
"Fred Savage was my first date," Hewitt exclaimed. "Because he was Fred Savage, he was able to get us in very young to the Laugh Factory, we went to a comedy show and dropped me off. And I had a pig as a pet at the time, so I never saw him again because I had a pig as a pet and he was really creeped out. He was very sweet. I had a huge crush on him."
