Sammi Sweetheart can now rest comfortably knowing who really wrote "the note."

Ah, the internet -- where decade-old "Jersey Shore" jokes can be resurfaced and applied seamlessly to today's polarizing political climate.

Big shoutout to Vinny Guadagnino for this one! The self-proclaimed guido trolled President Donald Trump's Sunday night Twitter threat directed at Iranian President Hassan Rouhani by taking us back to co-star Jenni "JWoww" Farley's epic note to Samantha "Sammi Sweetheart" Giancola, written anonymously to let her know her then-boyfriend, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, had been less than faithful.

Here's what Trump tweeted:

To Iranian President Rouhani: NEVER, EVER THREATEN THE UNITED STATES AGAIN OR YOU WILL SUFFER CONSEQUENCES THE LIKES OF WHICH FEW THROUGHOUT HISTORY HAVE EVER SUFFERED BEFORE. WE ARE NO LONGER A COUNTRY THAT WILL STAND FOR YOUR DEMENTED WORDS OF VIOLENCE & DEATH. BE CAUTIOUS!

Here's what Vinny tweeted:

To Iranian President Rouhani: THE FIRST NIGHT AT BED WHEN YOU LEFT,RON MADE OUT WITH 2 GIRLS AND PUT HIS HEAD BETWEEN A COCKTAIL WAITRESS'S BREAST.ALSO WAS GRINDING WITH MULTIPLE FAT WOMEN.MULTIPLE PEOPLE IN THE HOUSE KNOW,THEREFORE YOU SHOULD KNOW THE TRUTH

Here's what Democrats of the House Foreign Affairs Committee tweeted:

DON'T BE DISTRACTED BY ALL CAPS. WE'RE NOT ATTACKING IRAN. BUT RUSSIA DID ATTACK OUR 2016 ELECTIONS TO HELP DONALD TRUMP, AND IS DOING SO AGAIN. TRUMP REFUSES TO HOLD RUSSIA ACCOUNTABLE AND SIDES WITH PUTIN OVER OUR INTELLIGENCE COMMUNITY. THAT'S AN ALL-CAPS-WORTHY PROBLEM.

Yes, these are all real tweets. See the receipts below.

Trump's message was a response to Rouhani criticizing him and warning the United States not to mess with his country.

According to Iran's state news agency, at a gathering of Iranian diplomats in Tehran on Sunday, Rouhani said, "America should know that peace with Iran is the mother of all peace, and war with Iran is the mother of all wars."

Rouhani also said that Iran can defend itself and hinted that, if his country were to come under attack, oil shipping through the Strait of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf could be greatly affected.

The former Foreign Minister of Islamic Republic of Iran, Javad Zarif, replied to Trump with a tweet of his own, letting him know he ought to "be cautious."

"COLOR US UNIMPRESSED," Zarif posted. "The world heard even harsher bluster a few months ago. And Iranians have heard them — albeit more civilized ones — for 40 yrs. We've been around for millennia & seen fall of empires, incl our own, which lasted more than the life of some countries. BE CAUTIOUS!"
