"You were on 'Celebrity Apprentice.' Have you reached out to the White House?" the Bravo late-night hosts asks the "Real Housewives" star.
Teresa Giudice "would love to speak" to President Donald Trump about a possible pardon for her husband, Joe Giudice, who was sentenced to deportation after completing his 41-month prison sentence for mail, wire and bankruptcy fraud.
The "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star stopped by "Watch What Happens Live" Wednesday night following her show's Season 9 premiere, but Andy Cohen was more concerned with the Pennsylvania immigration court judge's recent ruling than with the new season of "RHONJ." Joe is currently serving his sentence at FCI Allenwood in Pennsylvania and will be released in March 2019.
'RHONJ' Recap: Teresa Giudice Defies One of Joe's Wishes While He's In Prison
View Story"You know, this made me think -- you actually know the president. You were on 'Celebrity Apprentice,'" Andy said to Teresa. "Have you reached out to the White House? I'm assuming [Trump] could pardon him."
"No, I haven't, but I would love to speak to him if he wants to talk to me," Teresa replied.
Andy pressed her for an answer. "Are you gonna try to call him?"
Teresa -- who's been very PC and almost unemotional with her responses in recent interviews about her husband's deportation -- reiterated, "I haven't, but like I said, if he wants to speak to me, I would love to speak to him."
"Well, I mean, I think he's got other things to do, so I'm saying I think it would take you reaching out to him," Andy said with a laugh, breaking the ice a bit. "Are you willing to try?"
Realizing Andy had a point, Teresa laughed, too -- but she maintained her conservative stance. "I mean, you know, we'll see what happens," she said.
