"This was a short term marriage and Lisa is trying to ensure she doesn’t have to work again because she is unable to cope with her addiction," he claimed to TooFab.

Michael Avenatti has denied being a deadbeat dad.

The high-powered lawyer's ex-wife Lisa Storie accused him of skipping out on $146k in child support for their four-year-old son, as well as stopping payments on his healthcare plan.

On top of $1.6million in back-dated spousal support, she claimed he owes her more than $2million in total.

However Avenatti told TooFab on Thursday this was all "Completely fabricated."

"There is not a single court order showing that I owe her anything more than she has already received," he said.

"I have paid over $331,000 in the last 12 months in child support alone for a 4 year old. $331,000! I have also paid millions more in spousal support."

"This was a short term marriage and Lisa is trying to ensure she doesn’t have to work again because she is unable to cope with her addiction," he claimed without further elaboration. "I hope she gets the help she needs."

Storie denied Avenatti's addiction claims when speaking with DailyMailTV.

The couple married in 2011, but Storie filed for divorce in December of 2017.

Avenatti has been in headlines recently as he represents a number of whistleblowers, parents and alleged victims connected to R. Kelly's sexual assault case; he also until recently represented porn star Stormy Daniels, who is alleged to have had an affair with President Donald Trump, but dropped her as a client for reasons undisclosed.

Storie told DailyMailTV: "Michael was partying with Bill Clinton last week, he regularly hob-knobs with celebrities and the wealthy and jets all over the country, but he still refuses to pay to support his four-year-old son. He's nothing but a dead beat dad. He's a fraud and a liar."

"To see him standing next to young victims of abuse and representing children at the border, championing their cause, makes me sick when he doesn't care about his own child. It's callous. What kind of person does that?"

Avenatti was previously married for 13 years to Christine Avenatti Carlin, with whom he has two teenage daughters.
