"Having Steve officiate would be a happy ending."
He brought them together -- now Cynthia Bailey wants him to officially tie the knot.
"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" star is asking Steve Harvey to officiate her marriage to sportscaster Mike Hill.
"I would love to have Steve Harvey there," she recently said at LAX. "I mean, he's the reason why we met."
Indeed, the 52-year-old first met the Fox Sports correspondent on Harvey's talk show in April of 2018, when he introduced her to three potential suitors... even though she was leaning towards one of the others.
"I only leaned toward the other guy a bit because he had a home court advantage!" she laughed of the fellow Atlantan.
"I'm very grateful. Mike and I are very grateful that we met. Who meets on a dating show and it works out?" she said, adding that she and her future hubby are now launching their own dating show called "The Hook Up".
Harvey became ordained in the State of New York in 2017 so he could officiate an on-air wedding between Keven Undergaro and Maria Menounos. He might have to update his license however, as Cynthia hopes to wed in Georgia.
"I would love for him to do that," Cynthia gushed. "I haven't talked to him about it yet -- obviously, he knows that we're engaged. We have our date, which is perfect: 10/10/2020."
"And to make it even more perfect, having Steve officiate would be a happy ending," she added.
Cynthia has one daughter -- Noelle, who turned 20 last week -- from her relationship with Leon Robinson. Mike also has two daughters from a previous relationship.
Cynthia's marriage and subsequent divorce from club owner Peter Thomas played out from 2010 and 2017 on "RHOA".
She previously turned down a half-time marriage proposal from then-New Jersey Nets player Jayson Williams, and is also said to have rejected a proposal from Russell Simmons.
