Samantha Bee spent a good portion of her TBS late-night show Wednesday bashing Ivanka Trump's new role in the White House as "assistant to the President."
"Wishful thinkers are hoping that's code for 'your secret progressive buddy,'" Bee said, but doubted that's the case.
Although President Donald Trump's daughter is reportedly taking on climate change, even meeting with advocate Leonardo DiCaprio twice on the subject, Bee doesn't buy that she's serious about it.

Bee addressed people who may be happy to see a "progressive feminist" in the White House by flashing an image of Hillary Clinton. "If you wanted that, you should have voted for it," Bee said.
