Vanessa Bayer is leaving "Saturday Night Live" after performing on the sketch comedy show for seven seasons, making her the longest serving female cast member in “SNL” history.
Bayer joined the NBC program as a featured member in 2010 before getting promoted to a full-time cast member in 2012. She is known for her on-point impersonation of Miley Cyrus, Rachel from “Friends,” in which she performed next to Jennifer Aniston and Weekend Update correspondent, Jacob the Bar Mitzvah Boy.
Bayer was nominated for an American Comedy Award for her work on “SNL” in 2014. Since then she has been seen on “Portlandia,” “Office Christmas Party” and “Trainwreck.”
Bayer’s contract expired this season alongside co-star Bobby Moynihan who is also departing after nine seasons.
