While many little girls dressed up as their favorite Disney princesses, Viola Davis' daughter decided to go a different route and dressed up as her ultimate role model: Her own mom.
The "How To Get Away With Murder" star took to Instagram on Sunday and shared a photo of 4-year-old daughter Genesis' dressed like her at the Emmys , where she picked up a trophy for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series.
"So.....the Elsa costume? Didn't work for her. The Pirate? A no go. So she finally said, 'I just want to be YOU mommy'! So... uhh....this is ME," she captioned the adorable photo.
In the pic, Viola's little girl channels her mom's award show look with adorable curls, red lips and a white shirt as she flashes a huge grin while holding a gold statue.
The 50-year-old star made history at the 2015 show as the first Black woman to win the category. The star donned a white gown with black floral detailing and a red lip for the unforgettable night, and we think Genesis' recreation stacks up perfectly!
Viola and Julius Tennon adopted their little girl back in 2011, when she was just a baby. The actress is also step mom to her husband's two older children from his previous relationships.
