Emma Stone Leaves Jennifer Lawrence Two-Faced After Bailing on Golden Globes Party Date

The "mother!" star and BFF Emma Stone were supposed to hit the town together after the award show Sunday, but those plans abruptly changed when the "La La Land" actress changed her mind at the last minute.

How last minute, you ask? Last minute enough that J-Law already had half her makeup done before she got the call.

In a video Lawrence shared on her Facebook page Monday night, Stone can be heard asking her friend, "Hi, what happened tonight?"

"Well, you had told me that you wanted me to be your date to all the after-parties, so I got us tickets to some of the after-parties, booked a car and I was halfway through glam when you told me that you didn't want to go, you just wanted to come over my house," she explained, with half her face visible.

"So I sent my hair and makeup team home and now this is what I look like," she added, turning her head to reveal only one side of her face had been made up with eye shadow, eye liner, and fake lashes. The video ends with both of them bursting into laughter.

Stone recently explained how they became close friends, after texting for a year. Randomly enough, they bonded over a shared "stalker."

"Jennifer Lawrence and I both had the same stalker, John the Orchestra Guy," Stone told W magazine. "He would text us both and say things like 'I'm running late on my way to the soundstage. Can you warm up the orchestra for me? Text me back and let me know you got this.' He wasn't really a stalker. He must have worked at a studio or something because he had a lot of people's numbers."

"Jen and I texted for a year before we actually met. As she was driving to my house, she thought, 'Oh, my God, what if it's John the Orchestra Guy?' And I thought, 'Oh, my God, what if it's John the Orchestra Guy?'" Stone said. "So Jen calls me and says, 'I just want to make sure you're not John the Orchestra Guy.' I wasn't. And we met. It's our adorable love story."
