"The fact that I know a wine glass from a champagne glass is etiquette," Dorit tells Teddi Tuesday night. "Sorry, I know it."
Dorit Kemsley and "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" newcomer Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave have had their share of uncomfortable moments this season but the tension finally bubbled over on Tuesday night.
Dorit threw her husband, PK, a lavish 50th birthday party on a yacht, and after slaying a performance of Peggy Lee's "Fever," she decided to confront Teddi about their beef.
Last week at a Teddi's party, Dorit made a comment about how she felt she shouldn't be drinking wine out of a champagne glass. Teddi told Lisa Vanderpump the story, leaving out Dorit's name, and Lisa guessed right away who it was she was talking about. Lisa brought it up to Dorit, who then brought it up to Teddi.
"You and I are gonna be a little bit different," Teddi said in response to Dorit. "And as long as you can say, 'Yeah, you know what, Teddi, you're a lot f-cking different than I am, and I like you for that.' The same reason I'm here supporting you, saying, 'I'm impressed by this. You did something I wouldn't do.'"
During their chat, Lisa Vanderpump and Kyle Richards walked up to them. "Are we interrupting something?" Kyle asked. "What did we miss?" Lisa added.
"Our thing is so minute, it's so silly," Dorit explained. "But then I hear from my friends that you're having conversations about it."
"I really am somebody that I will just let it go," Teddi said.
"But you obviously do care because it upset you," Lisa said. "I'm saying, if you have two glasses there then you're obviously stating that there's a difference between wine and champagne."
Teddi rolled her eyes, saying, "I feel like I'm getting talked down to right now, and I don't appreciate it."
"The fact that I know a wine glass from a champagne glass is etiquette," Dorit fired back. "Sorry, I know it."
"I know," Teddi replied. "You're better than me in that, 100 percent, always."
Dorit's defense was that she didn't make the comment to Teddi; she made it to the waiter. And when Kyle tried to help Teddi explain herself, Dorit slammed her with "Are you her mouthpiece? Are you her spokesperson? Why are you chiming in and speaking for her?"
After Dorit called Teddi "psycho," Teddi insisted she was "fine" and the two hugged it out because that's what good housewives do.
"The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
