Frank Ocean's 'Moon River' Cover Has Twitter in Tears
Proof That Cardi B Was Made for New York Fashion Week

"My heart isn’t ready for frank ocean to cover 'Moon River,'" one fan tweets.

Frank Ocean had his fans swooning and/or emotionally wrecked on Thursday morning when he surprised them with a cover of "Moon River."

The musician hasn't had an official album since the critically-acclaimed "Blonde" in 2016, so many of his fans are hopeful that the cover of the song dating back to 1961 is indicative of new music coming from Ocean sooner rather than later.

They'd be happy with new material or a collection of covers of songs that have inspired Ocean over the years. Really just anything so they can cry even more.

After the experimental approach to "Blonde," Ocean returned to his more traditional vocal stylings on this cover, first made famous by Audrey Hepburn in the movie "Breakfast at Tiffany's." The Grammy-winning song has been covered and recorded hundreds of times by artists as varied as Aretha Franklin, Elton John, Barbra Streisand, R.E.M. and even Jennifer Love Hewitt and Chevy Chase.

Below are some of the best responses from Ocean's fans on Twitter following the surprise release.
