Hollywood Welcomes LeBron James to LA Lakers After He Signed Four-Year $153.3 Million Deal

$153.3 million later and LeBron James has officially joined the Los Angeles Lakers. "King James" departed the Cleveland Cavaliers after four years and a long-awaited NBA Title to head West, where Hollywood was waiting with open arms.

James has locked into a four-year deal with the West Coast team, the same length as his latest stint with the Cavaliers, which saw him win a championship within his first two years there.

News of the hefty deal broke Sunday evening, and social media exploded immediately with praise and some condemnation (mostly from Cavs fans) coming from across the nation. But for all of those bitter that he's leaving his hometown team, there are a dozen more excited and happy for him as he takes this next stop in his all-star career.

Certainly, most of the celebrities who call Los Angeles home were more than excited to welcome the 14-time all-star and four-time MVP to the home team. For many, it reminds them of the Magic Johnson/Kareem Abdul-Jabbar years through the 1980s. It's even more kismet that it was Jonson, now the team's president, who secured the deal.
