After some online claimed they got their photos from Google Images, Annie Smith reacts.
The conspiracy theory surrounding Lil Xan and Annie Smith's baby news just got even wilder.
The 22-year-old rapper and ex-boyfriend to Noah Cyrus made headlines earlier this month when he announced he and Smith were expecting their first child together. They then shared images of their nine-week ultrasound in a video posted to YouTube, photos some online alleged were ripped off from Google Images.
The theory picked up traction on Twitter, with some pulling up side-by-sides of the ultrasound featured in the video and screen shots from an ultrasound compilation video that appears to have been posted on YouTube back in 2009.
"When I posted my YouTube video with my ultrasound pictures, a girl (I'm not going to comment on who) photoshopped them with another person's name, year, birthday, etc, and uploaded them to Google," Smith said in a statement to E! News on Tuesday. "I'm honestly really disappointed that we announced it and now this is the rumor floating around."
In the YouTube video, the rapper -- real name Diego Leanos -- added, "I'm blessed, I just saw my kid for the first time today through an ultrasound and my baby girl Annie just saw her too and she can't stop looking at the pictures."
Smith also said in the clip that she thinks the baby looks like Diego. "I'm very excited, this is like the best thing that's ever happened," she added.
"i wanted to wait but i just can't leave my fans in the dark, it's official im going to be a father," Xan said when he first announced the news. "i love you guys so much and hope you stay along for this crazy journey and i've never felt more happy in my life💔 all of you are invited to the gender reveal party i promise! Cant wait to show the world everything i've been working on at youtube space and my official sophomore album 'BE SAFE' and to my baby my angel my sunshine @anniiesmith i love you with all my heart ❤️ thank you for saving me i love you more then words could describe."
