"Whatever challenges life may bring, sharing them with someone you love makes it all better," the former president shares.
That's where Alex Rodriguez is at in life.
On Thursday night, the retired Yankee took to Instagram to share the note the former president sent him and his new fiancée.
"Jennifer and Alex," the message reads. "Michelle and I just wanted to congratulate you on your engagement. After 26 years together, we can say that whatever challenges life may bring, sharing them with someone you love makes it all better. All the best, Barack Obama."
A-Rod, 43, popped the question to J.Lo, 49, earlier this month while the two were on a tropical getaway. The rock, of course, was unsurprisingly massive.
This will be the fourth marriage for the pop star, who was previously married to Ojani Noa, Cris Judd and Marc Anthony. J.Lo and Marc share 11-year-old twins Max and Emme. For Alex, this will be his second time down the aisle. He shares daughters Ella and Natasha with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis.
The news of the couple's engagement came about a month after they celebrated their second anniversary together.
