"No! 100 percent that's what happened," Malika said and Khloe clarified, "He said, 'I want you to be my girlfriend.'"
In a bonus clip from Season 16 of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians", the "Revenge Body" star talked about the beginning of her relationship with the pro athlete long before the Jordyn Woods scandal blew up and True Thompson came into the world.
While talking about Tristan's best friend Savas Oguz's love life with her own bestie Malika Haqq, Khloe asked Oguz how he goes about making a relationship official.
"So when you want to make someone your girlfriend, are you going to say like [Will you be my girlfriend?]" Khloe asked Oguz, who replied, "No. F--k no!
"Why not? I love the talk!" Khloe said.
Oguz then assumed Tristan didn't have "the talk," with Khloe, but that wasn't the case.
"It's not like Tristan told you, 'So, we're dating now, right? Or we're in a relationship?'" Oguz said.
"No! 100 percent that's what happened," Malika said and Khloe clarified, "He said, 'I want you to be my girlfriend.' Tristan did in the club in Cabo, you don't remember? Word for word." Khloe appeared to be referencing her trip to Cabo in 2016 with Tristan.
Although Oguz didn't seem to recall Tristan's declaration at the club, Khloe explained that was the reason she and Tristan had screamed "September 4th!" after making their relationship official.
"I'm not assuming I'm anyone's f--king girlfriend," Khloe admitted. "Why would I assume? You need to have this talk. I'm big on communication."
Oguz expressed he found the whole conversation about relationships to be like "middle school."
"Why did he say it?" he asked of Tristan. "That's like some perfect love story."
Malika chimed in with an excellent point, seemingly ending the discussion. "No love is perfect, but your communication can be," she said.
