"I feel like a lot of people probably only thought I'd make it to the walk of shame," she said during her ceremony.
P!nk is officially a star!
The singer was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday, in a ceremony attended by her adorable family and featuring speeches from Ellen DeGeneres and "Reno 911" star Kerri Kenney-Silver.
Taking the podium after those two introductions, the performer joked, "I feel like I'm dreaming and if anyone pinches me I'm going to punch them in the left eyebrow. "
"I feel like a lot of people probably only ever thought I'd make it to the walk of shame, but here I am," she continued. "Two little letters make such a big difference."
She reflected on signing her first record deal 23 years ago, before sharing why this celebration was so important to her.
"Today for me is a celebration of something that my dad taught me and that is, to thine own self be true," she said. "If you walk along this boulevard and you look at these names, there's a power that lies in that, 'to thine own self be true.'"
"There's a power in believing in yourself, there's a power in not giving up on life and not giving up on yourself and there's a power in making a decisions that you may not be the best who ever did it, you may not be the prettiest, or the tallest or funniest or most talented, or whatever it is you tell yourself you're not," she continued. "If you're stubborn and you don't give up and work really hard, no one else can ever be you."
Turning to husband Carey Hart, she exclaimed, "He's so cute," before thanking her "muse."
"If he didn't piss me off all the time, I'd have not much to say," she joked. "Thank you. I literally would not be standing up here if not for you, so never change, even though the theme is change."
She also thanked her two children, Willow and Jameson. "You guys are my stars," she said to them, "and I would never shine without you."
