The presidential hopeful admitted to smoking weed in college and — in a possibly-related note — added she was listening to Snoop and Pac before either had released an album.
The presidential-hopeful has claimed she was a fan of both rappers while she was in college... years before either had released any music.
In a possibly related note, she also admitted in the same interview on The Breakfast Club that she smoked weed back then, too.
After conceding she "had inhaled" and had opted for a joint over a blunt, Charlamagne tha God then asked the 54-year-old what music she was into at the time.
"What was you listening to when you was high? What song was on? What was playing?” the host probed.
"Oh my goodness, Definitely Snoop. Tupac for sure," she smiled.
The thing is, Senator Harris got her BA from Howard University in 1986, and graduated from Hastings College of the Law in 1989.
Tupac's first album, "2Pacalypse Now", was released in November of 1991; Snoop Dogg's debut album "Doggystyle" didn't materialize until November of 1993.
Nobody noticed the discrepancy however, and she was allowed to move onto her more modern likes.
"You know who I really love? Cardi B," she replied, "I really do."
She then slightly misquoted a song title — though possibly on purpose as a warning to her political rivals
"Everybody jokes, sometimes I just turn on 'Be Careful Of Me'," she chuckled (the song title is "Be Careful", the lyric "be careful with me"). "I think she's so fantastic."
Giving her arguments for the legalization of cannabis, she sidestepped when asked if would she smoke it if it was.
"Listen; I think it gives a lot of people joy, and we need more joy in the world," she replied, laughing heartily.
